Dr. P. Padmavathi received Ph.D. from the Department of Biochemistry, Sri Krishnadevaraya University, AP, India. After her doctoral studies she joined in University of Chicago, Chicago, USA and carried out research on the development of induced pluripotent stem cells and its role in the disease pathogenesis. Later she moved to University of Illinois, Chicago, USA, where she worked on brain tumors. Dr. P. Padmavathi has vast experience in the field of Cancer Biology. Dr. Padmavathi is a recipient of prestigious awards like Young scientist from DST-India.
Dr. Vijayakumar Muppala, MSc, PhD

Dr.Vijayakumar Muppala received master’s degree in Medical Biochemistry from JIPMER in 1993. In 1996, started his career in research by joining as Research Assistant in the Lab headed by Prof. S.K. Brahmachari in Molecular Biophysics Department at IISc, Bangalore. He was part of Human Genome Project and the focus of the group was on deciphering genetic abnormalities in Neuropsychiatric diseases. Later on in 1998, he got an opportunity to work on Genetic Knock-Out mouse models in Diabetes and Obesity at Academia Sinica, Taiwan. In 2002, he switched his work to cancer genomics and cancer biology where he decided to address issues related to Areca nut chewing and the associated risks to oral cancer which was widely prevalent in Taiwan and in India. Later on he moved to Germany in 2005 to pursue his Ph.D at University of Goettingen in the Department of Cellular and Molecular immunology. His Ph.D work was centered on Heat shock protein receptor polymorphism and their relevance in Cancer and HIV infection. In 2008, he received the Marie-Curie Research fellowship as part of European Transnet Research to pursue his first Post-doctoral fellowship at University of Newcastle, UK. He joined the Department of Hematology, University of Newcastle in 2008 to study the gene expression profile in skin biopsies of Transplant reject patients. He returned to Germany in 2010 and joined a group working on Tissue Engineering in Heart Repair. His second post-doctoral research work was focused on Immunological properties of Parthenogenetic Stem cells derived Engineered Heart Tissue. Since 2016, he has moved to India and taken several steps towards entrepreneurship. He has partnered with able individuals and at the moment in the process of making rapid strides in the field of Education, Research and Food Industry.
